It was a display that clearly signaled their leadership claims as they reinforced their standing at the league summit.

Back-to-Back Defeats for Manchester United

This scoreline signalled consecutive league losses for the United manager's side for the maiden instance since last May, leaving them a sizable gap off the table toppers with their title hopes severely dented.

The Red Devils' capability to balance league and continental soccer with a limited team has been a hotly discussed subject since they secured entry to the Champions League.
